FRONT ROYAL — As organizers finalize details for the 10th Appaloosa Festival, they say there’s a chance it could be the last.

Dan Fedoryka and his brother, Alex, grew up in Front Royal before starting the Americana/bluegrass/folk band, Scythian. Inspired by their love of Warren County and a desire to put on a family-friendly festival for the community, the pair set out to create an event typically reserved for larger cities.

Held over Labor Day weekend at Skyline Ranch Resort on Mountain Road in Warren County, the two-day event has a reputation for finding talent.
