A 60-year-old Soldotna man was arrested Saturday after allegedly driving erratically through town and onto a local golf course.
According to Soldotna Police, a REDDI (Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately) report was received around 4:04 p.m. on August 3, 2025, describing a vehicle that nearly rear-ended multiple cars. A second report soon followed, stating that the same vehicle had been seen driving on the golf course near the ninth hole.
Officers identified the driver as Kelly Thornton of Soldotna and located him at his residence. Police say Thornton showed signs of intoxication and was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Thornton refused to provide a breath sample when requested and was subsequently remanded to Wildwood Pretrial Facility. He is being held on $1,5
