The much anticipated launch of the County of Tulare's new website is finally going to happen. A virtual ribbon cutting, so to speak, of the county's new website was presented to the Tulare County Board of Supervisors at their meeting on Tuesday.

County director of information Joe Halford gave a presentation on the new website at Tuesday's meeting. The website will be launched for the public to use on August 21.

The website is replacing the county's current outdated website, especially when it comes to being operated by a legacy platform which uses outdated IT systems. Halford noted the limitations of the old website as a great deal of content from the old website had to be “cleaned up” when being transferred to the new website.
