PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - A homicide investigation is underway after a man died following a shooting in Pueblo on Tuesday morning.

According to the Pueblo Police Department, the department’s ShotSpotter system detected gunfire in the 200 block of Mesa Avenue, near Mesa and I-25, just after 3 a.m.

When officers arrived on scene, they said they found seven shell casings. Around that time, they were also notified that a man with a gunshot wound had been left at a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

According to police, a nearby camera registered with the department’s Real Time Crime Center captured video of the incident, which detectives are using to assist in their investigation and the search for suspects. No suspect information had been shared by police as of this article’s last
