COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - An Air Force Cadet will serve jail time for sexual assault.

Cadat Viet Zaengle was convicted and sentenced after following a general court-martial that ended August 6th.

Zaengle was sentenced by a military judge to serve 30 months of confinement, dismissal from the Air Force, a reprimand, and he will forfeit all pay and allowances.

Zaengle elected trial by jury and was found guilty of one instance of sexual assault. The three-day trial included testimony from the victim, witnesses and evidence presented by the U.S. government and the defense.
