MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — Moorhead Police will conduct targeted traffic enforcement following concerns from the community.

Police Chief Chris Helmick says, “As the City of Moorhead awaits the results of the Minnesota State Patrol’s investigation into last week’s tragic accident involving 9-year-old Adam Amin, and as the Engineering Department evaluates safety needs along the 40th Avenue corridor, the Moorhead Police Department will increase traffic enforcement in that area and other key locations throughout the city.”

The plan is to have officers more visible to remind drivers of the shared responsibility in keeping Moorhead streets safe.

The Moorhead Police Department encourages the public to report traffic or driving-related concerns to Red River Regional Dispatch Center.
