Fargo, N.D. (KVRR) — As back to school season moves closer and closer, The Salvation Army is making sure that students of all backgrounds are prepared to succeed.
They held their first ever “Stuff the Bus” School Supply Drive, collecting backpacks, pencils, notebooks, crayons,, and other esential classroom itmes to give students in need the tools to succeed.
They say that the event was inspired by the growing need we’ve seen in our community, amid the rising costs of basic school supplies.
“It means everything. It’s proactive. We’re heading off the next generation, empowering that generation to grow out of poverty, out of cycle poverty, become independent, and perhaps even donors and volunteers back to the Salvation Army as a result, or other charities in the community.
