(NewsNation) — Military officials said a 28-year-old Army sergeant allegedly shot and wounded five fellow soldiers Wednesday at Fort Stewart in Georgia before being tackled and arrested by other service members.
Sgt. Quornelius Samentrio Radford, an automated logistics specialist with the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, opened fire on his coworkers at his workplace on the base shortly before 11 a.m. ET, according to Brig. Gen. John Lubas, commander of the 3rd Infantry Division.
All five victims were transported to Memorial Health Hospital under Georgia State Police escort and are in stable condition, expected to make full recoveries, Lubas said. The families of all victims have been notified.
