KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City man has been sentenced to nearly two decades in prison for the 2022 killing of his brother.

Aaron Winn, 41, was sentenced Wednesday in Jackson County Circuit Court to 18 years in prison for the 2022 killing of Karl Winn.

A jury found him guilty in July of second-degree murder and armed criminal action. In October 2022, Aaron fatally stabbed his brother with a sword at their home near 62nd Street and Tracy Avenue.

When officers arrived at the home, they found Karl Winn on the front porch with a sword through his chest, police said.
