Blue Bottle workers at East Bay's four locations have unionized

Update, Aug. 6 : Blue Bottle workers across its four East Bay shops have officially joined the Blue Bottle Independent Union (BBIU), becoming the first California locations of the coffee chain, which is owned by Nestle, to do so. On July 31, in an election certified by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), workers voted 22-5 in favor of unionizing, joining the BBIU where they will now discuss details for their first contract negotiation. Workers first announced their intent to join the BBIU on June 17.
