RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Congressman Brad Knott (R) and members of his office hope to lessen the strain many people face when getting a passport.

"We get calls from everybody, whether you're a veteran, whether you have a business issue, whether Social Security questions, whatever it may be. But one of the highest volume of calls we get is from constituents who need their passport to be updated, oftentimes in an expedited fashion," said Rep. Knott who represents the 13th congressional district.

To help with this issue his office is holding two upcoming Passport Fairs.

"So rather than going to a post office or a clerk of court, we, the congressional office, can follow through. We send it to the right spot in the State Department to get the quickest return. And if we send it from our office,
