Mayor Don L. Weiss Jr. officially welcomed six new officers to the Dickson Police Department during the August 4, 2025, City Council meeting by administering the Peace Officer Oath.

The newly sworn-in officers are Jake Brake, Amanda Martin, Nick Owens, Wesley Strange, Tony Hampton, and Nigel McQueen.

Officer Jake Brake , a Dickson County native and 2014 graduate of Dickson County High School, began his law enforcement career with the Dickson County Sheriff’s Office in 2019. His experience includes roles in Corrections, as a Court Bailiff, and in the Patrol Division, where he also served as a K-9 handler. He joined the Dickson Police Department on June 9, 2025, and is assigned to the Patrol Division.
