BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) -- One of this year's changes to hunting regulations in the state has garnered some questions about how exactly it is going to work.

For the first time, West Virginia will allow the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, or drones, for hunters.

The regulation allowing hunters to use drones to assist them came down directly from Charleston, according to Captain Chris Lester with the West Virginia Natural Resources Police.

He said lawmakers in the capitol proposed the bill and got it passed to allow hunters this new use of modern technology.

Captain Lester said there are some restrictions, however.
