QUINCY (WGEM) - United Way Wednesdays are back, offering a chance to dine out for a good cause.

Starting Wednesday and continuing until January, a different restaurant is spotlighted on the United Way Wednesdays. The restaurant will then donate a portion of its proceeds for the day.

An official with the United Way said last year over twelve thousand dollars were raised during the event, and that money went directly back into the community to provide support to local families in need.

United Way executive director Jenna Hull said she has received some positive feedback from families who have participated in the event in the past.
