The 15th annual Erie Gives Day is just under a week away, and the Erie Community Foundation is getting the phones ready for next Tuesday's donation event.

This year, 539 nonprofits are participating in the 24-hour donation drive, with 38 new organizations joining the lineup.

The foundation's vice president said they're looking to break last year's record of $9.7 million raised.

She said the best ways to donate next Tuesday are the Erie Gives website, which will be open from midnight to midnight, and the phone lines at 814-454-0843, which will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
