A group of General McLane graduates is bringing a high school tradition back to life.

The weekend of August 8, all classes throughout the history of General McLane High School, up until 2000, are having a reunion.

While together, they are restoring a barn located across the street from the school. It used to be a tradition that the graduating class would paint their year onto the barn doors.

The tradition lasted through 1995, and a group has raised funds to have the barn refurbished to pass on the tradition to the next class.

"There's been so many people that have come back to town that you haven't seen since graduation. Just learning all your family members, friends and kind of how you some way have some type of relationship with all these people you never even knew," said Phil Elton,
