NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A woman was arrested over the weekend after police say she drove the wrong way down Rivers Avenue with two children in the car and nearly caused a collision.

Officers with the North Charleston Police Department were called to Rivers Ave. Sunday afternoon, when people reported a vehicle heading west in the eastbound lanes that had barely missed causing a collision.

Police found the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop, discovering the driver, identified as 32-year-old Seidy Yolany Pacheco-Mejia, did not have a driver's license. When questioned, Pacheco-Mejia told police she did not know how to operate a vehicle.

Officers also saw two young children in the car with her during the incident.

Pacheco-Mejia is charged with reckless driving, no driver's license
