NORTH DAKOTA (KXNET) — Governor Kelly Armstrong has proclaimed August 3-9 National Health Center Week in the Peace Garden State, to celebrate those who take care of the people of North Dakota when they need it most.
This year's theme is "From Community Roots to a Healthier Tomorrow," honoring health centers that provide care to communities across the state.
Community health centers offer services — such as medical, dental, and behavioral health — to people in rural, urban, and underserved areas, regardless of a patient's insurance status. They include both local professionals — such as doctors and nurses — and outreach workers.
