JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - A juvenile ended up in the hospital after they ran from the police and then struck the side of a building.
According to authorities, the chase began around 8 p.m. on Tuesday when Capitol Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle on Bobby Rush Boulevard.
The juvenile driver failed to stop, leading officers on a pursuit.
The driver then struck the side of a building on Amite Street and was taken to the hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.
The crash is now under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
