ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - Roanoke Police have made arrests in connection to all three shooting that occurred over the weekend, according to officials.

The incidents, which happened within a short timeframe, left three people injured and one person dead. Investigators say the cases are unrelated, but the timing prompted a swift response.

Police made all three arrests within 48 hours with the most recent suspect taken into custody Monday.

Captain of Criminal Investigations Eric Thiel said strong teamwork within the department and cooperation from the community helped officers move quickly.
