SPOTSYLVANIA, Va. — A couple is healing, and an investigation is underway after a reportedly racist and dangerous encounter turned into a car crash in Spotsylvania County last month.
According to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the 4300 block of Partlow Road on July 20 for reports of an incident involving a gun and vehicle crash.
Investigators arrived and said two people were charged with misdemeanors of brandishing a firearm and indecent exposure. Court documents show they have been identified as Elizabeth Wolfrey and Mark Goodman. Goodman is accused of pulling down his pants and flashing the couple.
The Spotsylvania NAACP said the community will be gathering at Mount Zion Baptist Church in the county to discuss the incident and course of action moving
