GRAND RAPIDS, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Former Minnesota state Senator Justin Eichorn appeared in federal court on Wednesday.
He’s facing a federal charge of attempted enticement of a minor for prostitution.
The 40-year-old from Grand Rapids was arrested in Bloomington in March after allegedly trying to meet up with who he thought was 17-year-old girl for sex.
It ended up being an undercover officer.

On Wednesday, Eichorn’s defense team continued to argue his federal charges should be dropped, claiming Eichorn’s being unfairly targeted due to being a lawmaker at the time of the incident.
