APD starts homicide investigation after girl found dead in Anchorage apartment

On Monday, a young girl was found dead here at Campbell Creek Park Condominiums. The Anchorage Police Department has begun an investigation into the incident.

At 8:01 am, APD responded to a call of an unresponsive child in the residence at the apartment complex on East 46th and Folker Street, just off of East Tudor, and across the street from Campbell Creek. There, a young girl was found and pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is now being treated as a homicide.

APD has also stated that several witnesses have been interviewed by detectives for the investigation. On Monday, the police department's Crime Scene Team processed the scene as well. As of now, no arrests have been made.
