DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Mayor Mark Saliba became the first in Dothan's history to perform a hat trick -- serving three consecutive terms.
Saliba accomplished a milestone that his father, Alfred Saliba, fell short of when seeking a third term.
This comes after Saliba won in a landslide over Jimmy McCray. Mayor Saliba raked in over 88% of the votes.
"I don't like to focus on it too much, but I know my dad, mom, and heavenly father are proud of me, as history goes, but what's important to me is everyone coming together, those on the city commission and the school board, for these next four years," Mayor Saliba said.
The mayor said he is looking forward to the next four years.
