A man wanted in connection with three deaths and arson at a home in Bracebridge, Ont. Friday night, has died, police say.
The 29-year-old was one of the people found dead in the home, OPP said in a Wednesday post on X, formerly Twitter. He died of smoke inhalation, police said.
Police say they responded to a report of gunfire around 8 p.m. on Beatrice Town Line Road on Friday. They arrived to find a 60-year-old Bracebridge man dead and the house engulfed in flames. The cause of his death was a gunshot wound, they said.
After investigating, officers confirmed two more people were found dead inside the home, which was destroyed in the fire, OPP said in a news release Sunday.
