SPENCER, W.Va. (WV News) — WV News has hired veteran journalist Roger Adkins to lead its latest acquisition, Spencer Newspapers, as the company expands its community journalism footprint.

Adkins, a Roane County native and graduate of Roane County High School, previously worked for WV News and several other state newspapers.

“We’re excited to add Roger to our team of outstanding journalists who work hard every day to provide great stories, photos and videos for our growing audience,” said WV News owner and President Brian Jarvis. “As we continue to look at expanding our community journalism into more areas, we are always looking for talented journalists to join the team.”
