SUTTON, W.Va. (WV News) — Two people were arrested and charged with multiple felony counts of child neglect after an investigation into an anonymous letter to a judge, according to West Virginia State Police 1st Sgt. Kyle Totten III.
Troopers with the Sutton Detachment responded to a letter sent to Braxton County Circuit Judge Michael Asbury, which alleged children were living in neglectful conditions, according to Totten.
The investigation led police to a home in Erbacon, according to Totten, who is District Commander of Trooper 3, District 3.
At the home, police found two children in the custody of Mary Bragg, 51, and James Bragg, 58, according to Totten.
According to State Police, both adults were under the influence of controlled substances, and the home was in "squalid conditions"
