WANE 15 IndianaINDIANAPOLIS -- The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating an alleged incident surrounding Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith’s office.
State Rep. Craig Haggard (R-Indianapolis) said he learned last week that a staffer in the Lt. Governor’s Office had allegedly created and shown a pornographic deepfake video of Haggard’s wife to other staffers.
As first reported by 24sight News, the alleged deepfake video was modified from an existing video of Haggard’s wife singing at a talent show for charity earlier this year. While Haggard acknowledged he has not seen any such video, he wants those responsible to be held accountable should the video exist.
“I know we need to get to the bottom of it,” Haggard said. “If true, this is a very, very serious allegation. I mean, it’s a federal crime.”
