SPRINGFIELD TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Police in Springfield, Delaware County, are investigating a crash that left two teens injured, one critically.
The two 14-year-olds were thrown from their electric scooter after colliding with a pickup truck.
Officers and paramedics were called to the 400 block of North Bishop Avenue just before 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said two 14-year-olds had been riding an electric scooter from Upper Darby into Springfield.
"At some point around the area where Sycamore Avenue intersects with Bishop Avenue, the boys collided with a pickup truck who was heading southbound," noted Lieutenant David DiTrolio of the Springfield Police Department.
Police said the driver of the pickup truck immediately stopped to call 911 as the boys were thrown from the electric scooter.
