WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV (WVNS) - A pesky case known as the sophomore slump is infectious enough to hinder most NFL players. Texans’ Quarterback CJ Stroud was one who unfortunately suffered the side effects in the 2024 NFL season after an amazing record setting rookie season in Houston.

He threw 7 more interceptions in his second season, while his passer rating also dropped. That being said, Stroud still broke 3,500 passing yards and 20 passing touchdowns. Not many quarterbacks lead their teams to a division title and a playoff victory during a down year. These are two feats Stroud accomplished all during his so-called sophomore slump season.
