A Severe Thunderstorm Watch was issued for southeastern Manitoba Wednesday afternoon and it was upgraded to a Severe Thunderstorm Warning shortly before 5 p.m.

Then, early Wednesday evening, a large storm system rolled into the Southeast from the west with the core of the storm stretching as far north as Landmark and as far south as Otterburne, Kleefeld, and Friedensfeld.

Reports of hail have come in from all over the region including Mitchell, Steinbach, and La Broquerie.

Another storm cell passed over Winnipeg, rolling east over Birds Hill Provincial Park, Oakbank and Anola. A Tornado Warning was also issued in Winnipeg and some areas north of the Trans Canada Highway.
