BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — This fall, campground improvements are coming to many state parks.

This includes state parks like Rough Rider, Grahams Island, Fort Ransom, and Icelandic State Park.

Paul Taylor, the deputy director of North Dakota Parks and Rec, says people have visited the parks a lot more in the last few years, which is one of the reasons for making these changes.

Some improvements include new water and electrical systems, so that campers can run their air conditioning and enhance their camping experience.

On August 18, Roughrider State Park will begin construction and start changing its layout to be more efficient.
