WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Two teens have been arrested in connection with an armed carjacking in Southeast D.C., according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).

Police say a driver was working on a rideshare app around 6:40 p.m. on May 3, when they picked up two teenagers at the intersection of Queens Stroll Place and 51st Street, SE.

The driver said the suspects then pointed a firearm at them before taking the vehicle and driving away.

Police say a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy were arrested Tuesday and charged with armed carjacking.
