NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Nineteen people are displaced after a New Haven dumpster fire spread into two houses Wednesday evening.
No one was hurt, according to New Haven Assistant Fire Chief Daniel Coughlin.
Firefighters arrived to the houses on Davenport Avenue at 7:06 p.m. and found that the fire extended into both homes, causing heavy damage to one and moderate damage to the other.
Coughlin said crews "did an excellent job controlling the fire and brought it under control at [8:05 p.m.]"
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
