DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Police have identified the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash on Wednesday.

According to a media release, 49-year-old John C. Coons of Davenport was killed in the crash on Sunday.

Police said Coons was driving in the 1600 block of West 8th Street before being struck by an SUV at the Madison Street intersection.

The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The crash is under investigation.
