VIRGINIA, USA — With just weeks to go before students return to classrooms, five Northern Virginia school districts are under pressure from the U.S. Department of Education to revise some of their policies.

Prince William, Loudoun, Arlington, Fairfax counties, and Alexandria City have been informed that current policies allowing students to use bathrooms and locker rooms aligned with their gender identity are in violation of Title IX, which prohibits sex-based discrimination in education.
