Councillors have criticised plans to build over 300 homes on the edge of Wisbech with no affordable housing. Members of Fenland District Council’s planning committee shared their “disappointment” at the lack of affordable housing and financial contributions for local services.

However, they ultimately approved the plans as they said the development was policy compliant. Plans to build 308 homes and a 60-bed care home to the east of Wisbech were put forward by Prosperity Wealth and Development Limited.
