OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Thursday starts with a few showers and storms on the Iowa side of the river. Those shouldn’t pose much of an issue and should move out before 8am.
Then the sunshine will win out and we’ll get a chance to heat up a bit more than yesterday. Highs near 90 degrees will be slightly warmer to pair up with the humidity. There will be wildfire smoke passing overhead to create hazy skies as well.
More elevated wildfire smoke is likely to pass through Friday during what will be the hottest day of the week. Highs in the mid 90s are likely with heat index values up to 105 degrees at times in the afternoon.
