OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The hottest day of the week is still on track today but overall the temperatures have trended down a bit recent. The humidity will likely be the noticeable part of the day with high dew points expected.

Combine that with highs in the lower 90s over the area and we’ll have heat index values that should be in the 100-105 range a good portion of the afternoon. A heat advisory is in place during that time to account for the higher heat and humidity.

Thankfully we’ll have a south breeze gusting up near 30 mph to keep the air moving some.

There are small chances of scattered showers and a few storms on Saturday during the day at any point but most of the day should end up dry. It will be cooler in the 80s but it will still be muggy.
