CLEVELAND — Bionca Ellis -- the 34-year-old woman accused of killing 3-year-old Julian Wood in a double stabbing outside of a Giant Eagle in North Olmsted last year -- is due back in court for a pretrial conference Thursday morning.

Cuyahoga County Common Please Judge John J. Russo is presiding over the case.

Back in February, Ellis had been ruled competent to stand trial after undergoing treatment at Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare.

Court records show her trial is still scheduled to begin on Wednesday, Oct. 1 .

North Olmsted police said it was shortly after 3 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2024, when Julian and his mother, 38-year-old Margot Wood, were stabbed in the parking lot of the Giant Eagle in the 27200 block of Lorain Road.
