GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) -- A man is dead after an officer-involved shooting on Tuesday evening, according to a Greensboro Police Department news release.
At 4:06 p.m., a Greensboro officer was flagged down by a resident in the 1600 block of Marion Street about a trespasser call.
The resident directed the officer toward a man who was suspected of trespassing on a nearby property.
The officer then started talking to the man, and the man refused to comply with repeated commands from the officer.
The man got a weapon and moved toward the officer, and the officer shot the man, police say.
The officer requested EMS and rendered aid. Despite the life-saving efforts, the man died at the scene.
