PHOENIX — A technical glitch led to dozens of delayed flights for United Airlines passengers across the country, including in Phoenix.

On Wednesday, people flying from Sky Harbor International Airport faced hours of delays and even some cancellations.

According to United, flights had to be grounded because of an issue with a system that tracks flight times and the weight and balance of those flights. While the issue was fixed, it still created several delays involving airports in Denver, Chicago, Newark, Houston, and San Francisco.

For Drew Scrima who was flying to San Francisco to catch a connecting flight to Redding, California he learned his flight was delayed for an hour once he arrived to terminal three.
