The Thames Valley District school board is facing a projected budget shortfall of $35 million.
This fiscal gap stems from inadequate risk management, overlapping administrative roles and inflated salaries within the board office. Equally concerning are hiring practices that lack equity and transparency, failing to support the diverse needs of the student population. Lawlessness and violence within schools persist, routinely overlooked by leadership.
Rather than reinforcing ineffective bureaucracies, the board should prioritize hiring capable, student-focused administrators who empower high-performing educators.
