The Grafton Centre in Cambridge is undergoing rapid changes ahead of its transformation into a science-focused site. Recent closures include Angel Beauty Parlour, The Vue cinema, and The Perfume Shop.

In February 2024, Cambridge City Council gave the green light to Pioneer Group's plans to partially demolish the shopping centre to make room for new life science laboratories, alongside a hotel and gym. The plans are set to create 47,000sqm of life science space, with 11,000sqm of retail floorspace remaining.
