Sheriff: Neighborly dispute leads to shooting

GALLIA COUNTY, Oh. (WSAZ) - One person was hurt in a shooting in Gallia County.

Gallia County Sheriff Matt Champlin says deputies were called to a shooting in the 400 block of East Bethel Church Road in Addison Township just before 1 a.m. Thursday.

The sheriff says one person was hurt and the incident stemmed from what was described as a dispute between neighbors.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

“One male has been detained, and investigators are actively working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident,” said Sheriff Champlin.
