PROCTORVILLE, Ohio (WSAZ) - A large group of bikers came together Friday morning to pay tribute to a 6-year-old boy whose life was cut far too short.

Bryston Adkins and his grandmother, Heather Matney, were killed in a crash on State Route 7 between Chesapeake and Proctorville on Aug. 1.

“He was very sweet, but he had a fire in him he got from all of us,” Bryston’s aunt Micah Matney said.

Bryston had gone to kindergarten at Chesapeake Elementary School.

The aunt said Bryston’s smile was never bigger than when he got to be on a motorcycle with his father or grandfather.

She said, “Every Sunday he’d be up and ready and ask, ‘Where are we going? Are we getting on the bike?’”
