It was a warm welcome Wednesday afternoon for a pair of Palestinian children, who arrived alongside relatives, even though the occasion was somber: The girls, 6 and 14, and a boy, 8, who arrived Tuesday in the Bay Area, were brought to the region in order to receive medical treatment for injuries they suffered in the Israel-Hamas war.
