A fast-food chicken chain restaurant has opened in Florence.

Dave's Hot Chicken has opened at 1931 W. Palmetto Street, in the former Hardees near Starbucks and Harris Teeter.

The restaurant opened in July.

The restaurant will be open seven days a week, opening at 10:30 a.m. each morning and closing at 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

"Florence is a vibrant, growing city with a strong and expanding population base," restaurant operator MPZ Holdings LLC CEO Kal Gullapalli said. "We've seen continued investment from other industries, driven in part by the mayor's commitment to fostering small business growth."
