A man is accused of trying to kill two people on July 30 in Darlington County, according to the sheriff's office.

Mark Rowe Jr. is charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime and grand larceny.

Darlington County deputies responded to a shooting incident that occurred on Anderson Drive in the Darlington area on July 30.

The sheriff's office alleges, "The suspect fled the scene prior to law enforcement arrival after shooting two family members and stealing a car. "Two individuals were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries."
