CHICAGO — A 63-year-old Dyer man is dead after being pulled Wednesday from Lake Michigan in the 3500 block of N. Belmont Drive, according to Chicago police.

The deceased was identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Timothy Peyton.

Peyton was pulled from the water around 9:35 a.m. Wednesday by the Chicago Police Marine Unit, the department reported. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The case is under investigation, police said.
